Rockies agree to minor-league deal with former MVP Ryan Howard

The Colorado Rockies announced Saturday they have agreed to terms with free-agent first baseman Ryan Howard on a minor-league deal.Howard, who was last with the Atlanta Braves on a minor-league deal, was adamant he would not contemplate retirement after being released in May."By no means am I done," Howard said then.
